Good morning Kickstarter Backers!
We haven’t stopped working hard to deliver the EcoQube Air in a sturdy and beautiful form. In order to make sure that the Air will be resistant to potential damage during the shipping and delivery process, we conducted an extensive drop-test where we slammed the package against the ground two weeks ago.
We put the EcoQube Air in a 20x14x14 box, surrounded by peanuts and really tried to slam the box on the corners as much as possible. The results? It held up great!
Even though we did all this testing, there was one report of a crack in the Air from the first batch from a customer in Atlanta, just twenty minutes from our fulfillment center, so we are taking extra measures to ensure that the following batches arrive safe and sound. We are packing them even tighter with peanuts and for the packages that historically have rougher routes, we will be including additional foam cushioning.

As we update you on the progress of this campaign, we not only want to provide you with a quality product, but valuable resources that help you connect with nature and engage in sustainable living. For that purpose, we are constantly adding content to our blog which you can check out.

Recipe for Micro-veggies Energy Salad
Excellent for quick energy before heading to the gym for the day.
5 cups of microgreens (in this recipe, we use broccoli sprouts)
How to Make Your “Micro-veggies Energy Salad”:
Toss your microgreens into a large mixing bowl
Mixed in ½ an avocado diced and the sliced cherry tomatoes
Add in the half cup of walnuts
Sprinkle with lemon juice and drizzle the honey on top
Enjoy and share with a friend!

Shipping Update & Our Recent Discovery of Micro-Veggies!

Hey Kickstarter Backers!
First, a shipping update:
Our logistics manager for shipment, Evan has been working hard with our shipping warehouse in Georgia to figure out the best way to ship the AIR.
We want to make sure they do not arrive damaged as they are very expensive to replace. We have conducted a drop test to find the best solution to do so, which we will share in an update next week! =) We are now waiting for the first several hundred test orders to arrive before shipping out the rest of the 1500 units for North American backers.
Once we have confirmed that there are minimal breakages, we will start sending the rest of the units on Monday the 20th. Our fulfillment center has the capability to send all 1500 units in 2 weeks once the initial batch we’ve sent out arrive safe and sound.
Every package is being shipped via UPS ground and will arrive in 1-6 business days depending on your location.
Thank you all for your patience as we work hard on delivering your EcoQubes to you safely. From our experience shipping EcoQube Aquariums, there can be a lot of breakages and we want to take the time and precautions to ensure you receive the EcoQube Air you expect.
Now, we know that as a backer of the EcoQube Air and a supporter of living decor, you are deeply interested in incorporating nature into your home.
Our company is always on a lookout for new ideas that may add value to our lives and those we invest in. Recently, we’ve discovered the benefits of micro-veggies that have been super trendy as garnish on dishes created by professional chefs or in tasty salads. Micro-veggies are delicious, tiny, and edible plants that are smaller than baby greens, but larger than sprouts.

3 Plants to Pair With Your EcoQube Air

Hey Kickstarter Backers!
You’ve seen the sleekness of the EcoQube Air, which incorporates an enclosed greenhouse that makes it easy to watch the growth of your plants. The greenhouse simultaneously provides an optimal controlled environment for the plant.
However, you may be uncertain about what plants you want to grow in your Air, and that’s where we come in.
There are so many options and ways to get creative with your Air, but we’ve chosen three of our favorite beautiful plants to pair with your Air. This is living decor at it’s finest.
[NOTE: Do not put soil in your EcoQube Air] Only put hydroponically grown plants in the EcoQube AIR. Soil will damage and destroy your pump.
1. Kokedama: This delicate and trendy Japanese plant will surely add an artistic dimension to your Air.They are grown in a ball of soil covered with moss, allowing it to rest nicely on its own. Pick a few more up if you want to take a shot at creating your very own kokedama garden. We’re working with a professional kokedama plant grower that will ensure that you get the best quality.
2.Spider Plant: The spider plant was in a recent list determined by NASA of the most effective houseplants for air purification, removing toxic agents such as formaldehyde, benzene, and trichloroethylene. The leaves are long and graceful, with a two-toned green and white pallette.
3. Scheflerra: A flowering plant native to the island of Taiwan, the scheflerra is a popular houseplant. It is commonly nicknamed the “green umbrella plant,” featuring bunches of deep green ovular leaves. It requires just a little bit of indoor gardening to maintain.

Your EcoQube Air is almost at your doorstep! + Fertilizer Recommendation

We’ve got some great news for you.
Last week, the container for 1500 EcoQube AIR units arrived at our Georgia fulfillment center for all VIP and North American backers. 500 units for all our international backers have also been delivered to our international fulfillment center in Shenzhen.
Our fulfillment center in Georgia has been working swiftly to unload the container and prepare for your shipments. In order to get these packages out as soon as possible, we need your help! Cool Features You'll Want To Try Out & Shipping Update

Hey Kickstarter Backers!
We hope you’re enjoying the new app that we just released. If you haven’t had a chance to look at it yet, take a look at Apple App Store and the Android Google Play Store. You can download our app guide here. We are looking for feedback so we can make one more revision before you receive your EcoQube Air.
There’s a few cool features of the Air we’d like to show you, so that you can try it out right when you get it!
First, when you plug the Air into your outlet, the light is on. When you lift up the greenhouse, it does a snazzy trick and turns off the light. In fact, the whole circuit shuts off, which means that the water and fan will not keep running. This ensures that you’ll be able to safely take a closer look at your plants or do some reassembling mess-free. To get the circuit to run again, simply pop the greenhouse back on.
Another cool feature is that when you pop out the back to change your filter, there is a magnetic insert, that helps it snap back in place with ease . No more of that pushing!
We hope you’ll enjoy these features and let us know what you think after you’ve had the chance to test them out. Thank you for waiting so patiently for the Air to come! We are working hard to get them to your doorsteps.
SHIPPING UPDATE: The USA Units are on the water and due to arrive at our Georgia Warehouse at the end of January. We will get everything packed and shipped to you as soon as possible- Our trusty fulfillment center notified us this will take about 2 weeks at most once the container reaches the warehouse. We will send an update when it does! All boxes will be sent via UPS ground.
International units will be sent to Hong Kong from China at the end of this week. This is a new partner that’s helped fulfill some of the largest kickstarter campaigns in the world. But because this is our first time working with them, we are estimating they will take around 4 weeks from arrival until all of the units are shipped.
We will send an update when each warehouse has completed shipping and coordinate a way for everyone to get their tracking number.
