Hello from China! After almost 24 solid hours of travel, myself and some of my teammates arrived in Shenzhen, China to meet visit with our manufacturing partners. Working together in person helps us better figure out all the different, potential features we can include or improve in order to make your experience with the EcoQube Air even better.
Here's a recap of our current stretch goals plus two new ones we've just added!
300K- Free PICTURE FRAME
At 300K every EcoQube Air will come with a this free, acrylic Picture Frame! This 3.5" x 2.5" frame rotates 360 degrees within it's stut and can be used horizontally and vertically. A great, simple addition to your desk or nightstand.
Why a picture frame?
Our manufacturing partners in China showed us this picture frame and explained that is made entirely of recycled EcoQube parts! The clear section is actually the acrylic removed to make the opening for the tank just cut to include the nubs on each side. The black strut is the leftover acrylic from the back filter portion, just pressed into a horseshoe shape. As a company devoted to spreading ideas of conservation, we absolutely loved the idea of recycling material used to make the EcoQube into something fun and useful. We're proud to produce a product with absolute minimal waste, using every part of the proverbial acrylic buffalo.

400K - 4 Clear Walls
With this, you'll be able to enjoy your plants from every angle and lit better than ever with the vertical LED strip.
We heard you! - Many of you told us that you like the look of the black background. So if we reach this goal and make the Air with all clear walls we'll also make an optional acrylic backdrop insert to give your tank the original black background look.
500K - LED Water Level Indicator
In addition the the physical water level indicator on the front of the EcoQube Air, we will be able to add this function to the vertical LED strip. When the water in your water basin gets too low, these LED lights will flash on and off, letting you know it's time to replenish your water supply.
600K - Fogger Add-on
With enough of a demand, we will be able to develop the EcoQube Air to allow for the fogger to be added on at a discounted rate!

We've gotten a lot of responses from you guys about the stretch goals and we've been taking the time to look at every message and comment. We want our backers to get the options you want, and since the fogger was such a popular add-on request we’ve decided to set our fogger stretch goal at $600K. We’ll be able to reach this goal even faster and possibly introduce more stretch goals in the future!

Some of our team members recently left to China - we’re already working on getting the EcoQube Air manufacturing line set up so we can start production as soon as possible. Hello EcoQube Air backers!
The amount of support we’ve received from the Kickstarter community is INCREDIBLE! The team at ADI want to give every single one of you a big THANK YOU for making this project a success.
Without your support, the EcoQube Air would still be an idea - and we want to say THANK YOU to our backers by announcing our STRETCH GOALS! We’ve heard a lot of feedback from our backers, and your feedback was critical in helping us decide what we wanted to add to improve the EcoQube Air.
STRETCH GOAL #1
This will be available for everyone! We’re going to make all four sides of the EcoQube Air clear, and we’re adding an LED light strip that goes up the middle. We’ve already started working on it, and we’re excited to share the elegance and beauty of our new design with you!
STRETCH GOAL #2
The one everyone’s been waiting for! By popular request, we’re going to redesign the EcoQube Air to allow space to put the fogger add-on in. This will take a lot of time and significant volume for production to justify doing so. Our engineering team worked day and night to make a rendering of a potential third EcoQube Air with fogger that our manufacturer is capable of producing.
Many of you have requested this, and we’ve been working hard to make sure you get all the options you want. The $25 fogger add-on to the EcoQube Air pricing will be finalized after the campaign ends!

Hey Backers!
We’re working on some exciting STRETCH GOALS, which we’ll be announcing next week! Thank you for being VIP and Early Bird backers, and we hope that you’ll be excited for these stretch goals as much as we are. What we learned
So why did we make the EcoQube Air?
Everyone knows that the air we breath comes from all the plants around us. In school, we learned plants create the Oxygen humans and all animals require to SURVIVE, or maybe you’ve heard that interesting factoid that the Amazon Rainforest produces over 20% of all the oxygen on Earth.
Plants absorb toxic chemicals in the air like formaldehydes, cleaning the air it occupies.
A scientist who created an air tight building with plants reported:
“studies have found that there is a 42 percent probability of one's blood oxygen going up by one percent if one stays indoors in this building for 10 hours... compared to other buildings, there is a reduced incidence of eye irritation by 52 percent, respiratory systems by 34 percent, headaches by 24 percent, lung impairment by 12 percent and asthma by nine percent.”
Even beyond health improvements, this plant arrangement (mentioned in the blog post below) increased productivity by 20% and reduced energy costs by 15%
